Preservation Policy

The Lebanese Medical Journal (LMJ) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content. The journal recognizes the importance of maintaining a permanent academic record and takes appropriate measures to safeguard its digital publications against loss, corruption, or technological obsolescence.

All published articles are permanently archived on the journal’s official website and are maintained in secure electronic formats to ensure continuous access for readers, researchers, and institutions. Regular backups are performed to protect journal content and metadata from accidental loss or system failure.

In addition, LMJ supports the preservation of its published content through inclusion in indexing services, academic databases, institutional repositories, and other recognized digital archiving platforms where applicable. These preservation mechanisms help ensure the continued availability and discoverability of published articles over time.

Should the journal cease publication for any reason, every reasonable effort will be made to ensure that previously published content remains accessible through established archival systems and repositories.

Through its preservation practices, LMJ is dedicated to maintaining the integrity, permanence, and accessibility of the scholarly record for future generations of researchers and healthcare professionals.
